Our New Home

Call us crazy, but we're ready to cut our ties and are yearning for the "freedom" to travel the country, and maybe even the world! We've lived here in the Ranches for about 4 years, and have loved every minute of it. There is a special feeling to this place; the people are good, and you can still see the stars at night. We know we were supposed to be here, but just as surely, we know now it's time for something new. It will be a sad thing to leave - harder I'm sure than we can imagine now - and yet we feel a sense of excitement thinking of going together into the unknown. Our plan is to eventually purchase a substantial piece of land, where we can have chickens, bees, a llama - yes, a llama - some horses, a large garden, and a dog or two. We've looked at property everywhere from here in Utah to back East, and haven't felt that we've found "the place" yet. So, for the time being, we're selling or donating nearly everything we own, packing up the rest, and going to purchase a home on wheels, with a trusty truck to pull it around. As soon as we sell these homes, we'll be purchasing our 3rd home, a 5th wheel trailer. Talk about downsizing :) We're excited! It's the perfect thing for this next part of our lives. We know that little can still be more than enough, and look forward to a simpler way of life. We'll go where we feel, have new experiences, and get to see the country together. We hope to visit some of the church historical sites - something we've always wanted to do - but now it will be more than a vacation or church tour, we'll actually get to live there! We feel very blessed to have been where we have been, lived where we have lived, had the experiences we have had, and now look forward to whatever other blessings Heavenly Father has in store for us. Just as this home was a blessing to us, we know that there is a family who will also be blessed to live here, and pray that they will be led to this home that everyone may be benefit and move forward with these new chapters of our lives!
